Seeking a therapist

Seeing a therapist can feel intimidating. You probably have this picture in your head of what the setting would be like. Sitting in a contained room with bright lights. Or laying on a chase lounge looking at the ceiling in a room full of books.
Therapy is welcoming, well it should be. It’s where you can express freely and non-judgmental. You should feel good where you’re doing this. If you have had a bad experience, likely it wasn’t a good fit for you, or your therapist was not well equipped. Properly trained therapists are even taught how to properly sit while listening to create the upmost comfortability and a “safe haven” for clients. Come have a seat on my cozy couch, I have a spot ready for you.
