Job Posting: Russian-Speaking Registered Marriage and Family Therapist

Safe Harbour Therapy Centre is seeking a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist  to deliver systemic therapy
services to Russian-speaking and English-speaking clients, and provide support and development of further
clinical programs for speakers of non-native English speakers.

Job Description:

• Work with Russian language-first clients to provide Marriage and Family Therapy services, as well as sex therapy services
• Maintain caseload of 20 client hours per week, including scheduling, billing, and maintaining 
  client records according to industry standards.  
• Promote Safe Harbour and create connections within the Winnipeg community at
  large, and the Russian-speaking community in particular.
• Recruit clients for Russian language Marriage and Family Therapy services, and
  Russian-language sex therapy services
• Conduct market research into potential for further first-language therapy services
• Deliver business plan for agency specialization into first language therapy
  services.

Requirements:

• Must hold Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy (MMFT) degree from an
  accredited university, with 500 clinical hours as a requirement for
  graduation.
• AASECT sex therapy certification completed, or able to be completed within 6
  months of start date.
• Current RMFT designation, or able to apply for the RMFT designation within 6
  months of start date.
• Must have native language fluency in English and Russian, and demonstrate the
  capability to hold therapy sessions in both languages.
• Registration with professional associations AAMFT OR CACFT, and CCPA.
• Experience working with Russian-speaking populations
• Experience working with diverse populations including but not limited to the 2SLGBTQ+
  community, indigenous communities, and newcomer populations.
• Must have at least two years of experience of Marriage and Family Therapy
  practice wth both individuals and couples. 

• Certified Canadian Counsellor designation preferred.
• Practice providing services in multiple modalities (ex, EFT, CBT, IFS, ACT).
• Experience with multiple modalities including but not limited to sexual health, group
  therapy, and somatic therapy
