Lindsay Smith

Practicum Therapist (MACP-Q, B.Ed)

Lindsay Smith (she/her) is a MACP Practicum Student from Yorkville University completing her placement at Safe Harbour Therapy Centre. She is also a teacher and for the past 15 years, she has worked in various elementary level classrooms.  As a descendent of settlers living and offering services on Treaty One Territory, Lindsay strives to remain mindful of her role in reconciliation and to practise in ways that honour the all of the diverse communities who call this land home.

Lindsay approaches her work with curiosity, warmth, and openness, aiming to create a space where clients feel welcomed, heard, and supported. She works from a clientcentred foundation, integrating narrative therapy and solutionfocused brief therapy to help individuals explore their stories, identify strengths, and move toward meaningful change. Lindsay values collaboration and believes that each person’s lived experience is central to the therapeutic process.

She is passionate about working with individuals and parents, supporting them through life transitions, challenges, and moments of growth. Lindsay is especially interested in how our personal narratives shape the ways we understand ourselves, our relationships, and the choices we make.

Outside of therapy, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family, playing soccer, and learning the ins and outs of her newly acquired perennial garden. She finds joy in being active outdoors with her children and pets.

If you would like to work with Lindsay, we invite you to connect with her by email or book with her online.
