A life, health or wellness coach is a professional coach trained in facilitating sustainable change in your mindset and behaviours using evidence based tools and processes.
If you’re stuck in a rut, lost your focus, feel like you’re holding yourself back, or are looking to change, grow, and be the best version of yourself, a coach is someone who can help you:
A coach is different from a therapist who works on reprocessing how the past contributed to where you are now. While a coach will also offer compassion and mindfulness to the process, the focus is on helping you clarify how to get you from where you are now to where you want to go in the future.
Sometimes changes that occur outside of ourselves, requires changes to be made inside of ourselves. If you’ve experienced the loss of a loved one, gone through a separation, changed jobs, recently had a baby or had your last “baby” leave the “nest”, recently achieved a goal thinking…now what, or been working from home during covid and found yourself thinking that you’re lost and need/want to be doing something else, a coach can help you.
Coaching sessions begin with gathering information through assessments and conversations during initial sessions. Using the intake information, a wellness/life plan is developed incorporating your overall vision which is broken down into short term goals as manageable steps. In subsequent weekly, monthly, or quarterly, sessions, the plan is reviewed to ensure you’re progressing towards your goal. As life unfolds, coaching sessions address any barriers that have arisen, insights that have been learned and used to refine goals along the way.
